These projects aren’t mine – why do I think they are so important?

Unless the project team believes in the reason ‘why’ we’re doing a project they will only build resentment for the project manager. Project managers generally have very little to benefit from the successful outcome of a project. The business risks all to benefit or loose not the project manager. Unless you step back the team will never own it. Only through ownership do we realise project benefits.
